A new tennis programme at the Transformational Living Centre will feature star athlete Antonio Warner and tennis coach Brent Smith.

“The goal is clear, to keep tennis alive and thriving in Bermuda, and to pass on the mantle of the tennis racket to the next generation,” said a spokeswoman for TLC.

Mr Smith worked with Mr Warner when he was a child. Mr Warner received the 2021 Bermuda National Athlete Award and will be a junior coach for the programme. He donated three new rackets and a couple of container of tennis balls for the programme.

TLC’s mission is to provide aid for young women and children. It said the addition of the tennis programme was a testament to their dedication to keeping children happy and healthy.

The programme will be open to children from the ages of 5 to 13.

The tennis programme will be held on Saturdays, with a tentative start date of next weekend.
