MS Reinsurance donates to several charities
MS Reinsurance donated $200,000 and volunteer hours to several charities last year.
According to a statement from the company, members of the team helped Habitat for Humanity of Bermuda to renovate the St James Church rectory, which will become a home for people suffering from mental health conditions.
The company also supported the homelessness charity Home, scholarship provider Knowledge Quest, creative arts organisation Troika, addiction treatment centre Pathways and Dellwood Middle School’s educational trip to Egypt.
The statement added: “During the festive season, MS Reinsurance supported a range of different charities, including Family Centre, the Eliza DoLittle Society, Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, Bermuda Red Cross and Age Concern to provide hot meals for those in need.
“The MS Reinsurance team also participated in gift-giving through the Coalition for the Protection of Children’s Toys for Tots programme.”
Lisa Finnerty, Ms Reinsurance’s head of human resources in Bermuda and the Americas and chair of the Bermuda charity committee, said the company understands “the responsibility we have to our local communities and believe in supporting them as much as they do us.
“This donation marks our continued effort to join forces and help those less fortunate, and we look forward to supporting more crucial organisations in 2024 and beyond.”
