An expert float builder is to share his skills with those looking to enter this year’s Bermuda Day Parade.

Christopher Naylor will lead the interactive Float Building and Decorating Workshop on Saturday. He aims to inspire and guide participants in bringing their vision to life.

Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, said: "As an integral part of our cultural calendar, the Bermuda Day Parade is a celebration of creativity, community and culture that brings together people from all walks of life.

“To kick start the creative process, the Department of Culture is hosting a Float Building and Decorating Workshop and Bermuda Day Parade Information Session this Saturday at the Sammy Wilson Central Zone Community Centre.

"If building a float isn't your style but you still want to be involved, there will be an information session to explore the various ways to participate in the Bermuda Day Parade.

“No registration is necessary. You just need to show up and discuss with the Department of Culture's team how you can contribute to making this year's parade the best one yet."

The Float Building and Decorating Workshop takes place from 12pm to 1:30pm, and the Bermuda Day Parade Information Session takes place from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Mr Darrell added: "Join us in making the Bermuda Day Parade a memorable event for all. Let's come together and showcase our creativity, passion and pride in our cultural heritage."

Anyone wishing to support Bermuda Day Parade participants can do so through the Bermuda Day Fund.
