A charity intent on ending homelessness in Bermuda has been given $25,000 by the Green family, owners of the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

The donation to Home brings the support from the Greens since 2021 to $100,000.

Alexander Green said: “Unfortunately, we have all seen a rise in Bermudians living in tough conditions over the last few years.

“Home has already made a huge difference in many people’s lives and begun the process of hopefully ending homelessness in Bermuda.”

Denise Carey, chief executive of Home, said the charity was “grateful and encouraged” by the Green family’s ongoing support.

Ms Carey said Home would “work closely with our public, private, and community partners towards our vision of a Bermuda in which everyone has a secure and sustainable place to live”.

She added: “The community can become involved by offering employment, lodging, groceries, and gently-used homeware items to Home.

“The Greens’ donation will specifically support Home’s programmes, where it is needed most.”
