Trash collection deferred a day over Good Friday holiday

The Good Friday holiday this week means trash collection will skip a day for households scheduled for the Friday pick-up.

The Ministry of Public Works advised that home waste would be collected on Saturday instead.

Recycling collection is unaffected because no pick-up is scheduled for this week.

The Tynes Bay public drop-off is open from 9am until noon this Friday.

Its regular schedule is from 7am to 7pm on other days.

Details on the island’s waste collection and recycling can be found online at the government website as well as via social media.
