Charity embarks on membership initiative

Age Concern has embarked on a membership drive in which it will set up shop at communities across the island on the first Monday of each month to engage members.

The charity said the initiative, called Membership Mondays, will begin on April 1 at the Clocktower Mall in Dockyard.

Through the initiative, eligible individuals can join the charity on the spot, and members can also renew their membership.

Age Concern’s mandate is to the improve the wellbeing of older adults in Bermuda. The organisation said through the new venture, it will take this commitment “to the streets, bringing the party directly to communities across the island”.

On Membership Mondays, the charity’s representatives will hold informal chats with its team and volunteers and provide members with insights on upcoming events and initiatives.

“Membership Mondays represent our commitment to meeting our members where they are. We’re thrilled to embark on this journey of community-building and look forward to connecting with our members in new and meaningful ways,” the charity noted.

More information is available on Age Concern’s Facebook page and on Instagram at @AgeConcernBDA.

The charity’s website is ageconcern.bm.
