Public access to the Railway Trail will be temporarily suspended for the Convex End-to-End charity walk on Saturday.

Access will be restricted to pedestrians only from 8am to 2pm to ensure the safety of participants and minimise disruptions.

The Department of Parks has asked those not participating in the charity walk to make other arrangements during this time.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works added: “The ministry and the Department of Parks are committed to ensuring the safety of all trail users and event participants and appreciate the public's co-operation and understanding in adhering to these temporary restrictions.

“It is imperative to remember that, as per Section 9 of the National Parks Regulations, 1988, riding or driving in a manner that may endanger others is prohibited.

“The ministry and the department thank the public in advance for their co-operation and look forward to a successful End-to-End event.”

Those participating in the race by cycling or similar modes of transport, including electric scooters and rollerblades, must use the designated cycling route.
