Two injured in North Shore bike crash

Two motorcyclists are in hospital after a collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire this evening.

According to a police spokesman, the crash happened shortly after 7pm near the junction with Loyal Hill Road.

Early information suggests that the vehicles collided with each other. While the extent of the victims’ injuries is unknown, one of the riders “may have been more seriously hurt”, according to police.

Both riders are now at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital receiving treatment.

Traffic diversions are in effect in the area while the scene is processed.

Any witnesses are asked to call 211 as soon as possible.
