BDA to join in Texas digital trade show
The Bermuda Business Development Agency will host a reception at a Texas trade show this week to build business links with the island.
Consensus, a gathering of digital asset, blockchain and Web3 enthusiasts, runs from today through Friday at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
The Bermuda reception will be held on Thursday from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Kendaree Burgess, chief operating officer of the BDA, said Bermuda continued to build on its reputation as a global leader in “robust yet pragmatic digital asset regulation and supervision, as recently evidenced by the appointment of Sheila Warren, chief executive officer of the Crypto Council for Innovation, to the board of the Bermuda Monetary Authority”.
Ms Burgess added: “Our Bermuda reception provides all local delegates and their guests the opportunity to take a virtual lap around Hamilton, with organisations like the BMA, service providers and Government all present.
“The accessibility of the event mimics the ease of doing business and making connections in Bermuda.”
The BDA said attendees would enjoy Bermuda entertainment with a chance to win a weekend trip for two to the island, courtesy of BermudAir and The Loren Hotels.
The BDA and other members of the Bermuda delegation will also hold business development meetings with leaders interested in setting up operations on the island.
Anyone who wishes to meet with the Bermuda team at Consensus can e-mail the BDA’s business development manager, Korrin Lightbourne, at korrin@bda.bm. For details on how the BDA’s concierge service can assist in setting up investments in Bermuda, can send an e-mail to info@bda.bm.
