Preview screening of Inside Out 2

Teenagers, families and LGBTQ+ members and allies are invited to a preview showing of Inside Out 2 next month.

The mental health centre Solstice Bermuda and charity OutBermuda are organising the screening of the new Pixar film at the Speciality Cinema in Hamilton on June 13.

Kelly Madeiros, the managing director of Solstice, said the organisation “wanted to create a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ teens, allies and families to come together”.

She added: “Solstice has been actively invested in adolescent mental health in Bermuda.”

Ms Madeiros said that with the introduction of a new character, Anxiety, along with the story of becoming a teenager and “all the new feelings that come with transitioning through life, we loved the idea of collaborating with OutBermuda”.

A statement from Solstice explained: “This special event promises an evening filled with joy and laughter, held in an LGBTQ+ friendly environment where everyone is welcome.

“This family-friendly viewing aims to bring together teens, allies and families for an unforgettable premiere of the movie before it’s available to the public.”

Everyone under 24 will receive free popcorn, pizza and drinks at the 7pm screening, with the event opening at about 6.30pm.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by visiting outbermuda.org/booknow.
