Cabinet Office minister attends postal service forum

The Minister for the Cabinet Office flew to the Cayman Islands to represent Bermuda in an international postal service forum.

Vance Campbell is working with regional ministers and delegates at the Universal Postal Union Regional Strategy Forum, where talks were focused on framework of the United Nations group’s 2026-29 development strategy.

Mr Campbell said: “I’m pleased to be able to represent Bermuda at this critical forum which affords us an opportunity to share the innovative ways Bermuda is evolving its postal service.

“We are committed to doing our part to strengthen the global postal ecosystem through innovation.

“Our discussions at this week's conference will be in keeping with embracing technological and digital advancements and promoting service diversification.”

Mr Campbell attended the UPU Regional Strategy Forum with Pandora Glasford, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism and the Cabinet Office, and Postmaster-General Sam Brangman.

The delegation meeting started yesterday and will finish today.

It will further discuss how postal operators can use technology to enhance services and how collaboration with stakeholders can help the postal sector grow.
