Brangman appointed secretary general of Caribbean Postal Union
Bermuda’s postmaster-general, Samuel Brangman Jr, has been appointed as the secretary general of the Caribbean Postal Union effective today.
Mr Brangman was formally elected during the 26th CPU conference held recently in the Cayman Islands.
He will serve as the secretary to the Caribbean Council of Ministers of Postal Affairs, the conference and the management board.
Mr Brangman will propose and recommend actions, plans and initiatives to the management board, provide technical assistance to CPU members and represent the union at meetings, conferences and negotiations.
The Minister of the Cabinet Office, Vance Campbell, said: “On behalf of the Cabinet Office, I extend heartfelt congratulations to Sam on his appointment as the Secretary General of the Caribbean Postal Union.
“Mr Brangman's appointment is an excellent example of the talent and expertise within the Public Service being recognised at a global level.”
