KPMG to host student networking event
KPMG is to host its biannual networking event aimed at introducing high school and university students to the world of financial services.
The company said K-Nect! has been successfully running for years, with future leaders of the island participating.
The event, themed “Cultivating Connections”, also aims to give the students the chance to build professional relationships and discover career opportunities at the professional services firm.
A spokeswoman for KPMG said: “The 2024 K-Nect! event, Cultivating Connections, promises to be a game-changer for emerging students, offering a gateway to KPMG internships and careers through the Lift Off Programme.
“This rare opportunity to interact directly with accomplished professionals within the industry provides attendees with the chance to introduce themselves and map out their future career.”
There will be career booths stationed by successful KPMG employees, who will provide insights into potential career aspirations and the steps needed to attain goals.
The event will also provide an overview of the firm’s Lift Off Programme offerings, which include work shadowing, summer internships, co-op placements, scholarships and permanent graduate employment.
Attendees should bring their resume, which can be reviewed and submitted for potential employment opportunities with KPMG’s human resources professionals.
This year’s K-Nect! will take place on July 16, from 5.30pm to 7pm, at the KPMG offices in Crown House, 4 Par-la-Ville Road, Pembroke.
Anyone wishing to attend should register at www.kpmg.bm.
