‘No one deserves to be left behind’

First Prev 1 2 Next Last

Community group Bermuda Is Love has issued a call to action for every person to recognise and act on their duty to love one another.

It has launched a #LoveYourNeighbour campaign, which seeks to “transform the hearts and minds of all individuals to always act in love and recognise our shared humanity”.

A spokesman said: “We must all see ourselves in each other. See that we are all human, deserving of equal rights and dignity. Equally deserving of being loved and treated with respect.

“We must seek to go beyond the barriers of illusory status. No one is better than another. No one deserves to live in poverty while others live in extreme wealth. No one deserves to be left behind.

“It is only when a person’s basic needs are secured, that they are better able to connect with one another, fostering a community built on love, care, and shared responsibility.

“And it is only by us recognising and acting on our duty to love that humanity can truly flourish.”
