Created: Jul 11, 2024 07:51 AM
People can learn more about emancipation and Cup Match at the Bermuda National Library today.
Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda will present The Story of Cup Match: Emancipation, Celebration and Community, part of a series designed to celebrate the island’s “progress, foster awareness and instil a sense of pride in our community’s journey”.
Curb added: “Learn about origins, the cultural festivities and the powerful journey of unity that Cup Match represents as we gear up for the 190th anniversary of emancipation, Bermuda's freedom day.”
Corey Butterfield, Curb’s strategic adviser, will lead the session from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
