An awards ceremony will recognise the contributions of members and allies of Bermuda’s LGBTQ+ community next month.

Taj Donville-Outerbridge, a board member at OutBermuda, said the second annual Pride Icon Awards on August 30 will “honour those who champion equality, advocate for positive change and inspire others to embrace diversity”.

People have until midnight on July 31 to nominate themselves or others in several different categories.

They include Role Model of the Year, given to someone who has inspired and led the local community within the past year; Trailblazer of the Year, which recognises lifetime contributions; and individual and organisation Ally of the Year awards.

Visit pride.bm/nominate to submit nominations and all categories.

You must be Registered or to post comment or to vote.
