Witness appeal: Steve Perinchief (Photograph supplied)

Police again appealed for witnesses to a single-vehicle crash in St George’s which resulted in the death of a 50-year-old Corrections Officer.

Steve Perinchief was travelling east on Southside Road on August 24 when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck what was believed to be a kerb near the former White’s Supermarket.

He was the fifth person to die on the island’s roads this year.

A police spokesman said: “In particular, members of the public who can confirm Mr Perinchief’s whereabouts in the hours prior to 9pm Saturday, August 24, 2024, are encouraged to come forward.”
