An event next weekend at Dockyard will support two of the island’s charities.

Love is Love Bermuda and Island Restaurant Group have partnered to host the event on September 29 from 1pm as an extension of Oktoberfest.

The fundraiser, which will support the charities Home and the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, will follow IRG’s evening events on September 27 and September 28.

“We at Love is Love Bermuda were more than happy to partner with IRG for this event as it helps us to continue to promote safe space events and support our community’s hard-working charities,” a spokesperson for Love is Love BDA said.

Oktoberfest, which will be held in the Victualling Yard at Dockyard, was described as a “beer, brats and brass band” festival.

This year’s event will be headlined by beer hall band Oompah Brass.

The organisers said the festival will feature beers and ales from within the IRG’s microbrewery Dockyard Brewing Co.

Oktoberfest will be set up in the classic style of long trestle tables where guests can enjoy traditional dishes by Küchenchef Jonny Roberdtz, the spokesman said.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $25 per person or tables of ten for $250 and are available at www.ptix.bm.

“We ask that the community please come out to support this special fundraiser for both Home Bermuda and Kaleidoscope,” the organisers said.
