Evening classes to run at college after industrial accident
Access to Bermuda College was restored after the clean-up of an industrial accident this morning, police said.
A spokeswoman for the college announced the facility’s closure but gave no further details.
The Bermuda Police Service said on their Facebook page earlier that there were “no reported injuries at this time”.
“Police and the Bermuda Fire Service are on the scene managing the situation,” the post added.
The BPS said at about 12.30pm that access to the college was restored.
At about 12.45pm the college spokeswoman said that no buildings were impacted and that staff worked remotely while classes were moved online.
She added that, since access was restored, evening classes would resume on campus as scheduled.
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service did not respond to requests for information, but it is believed that the tanker of a gas truck was punctured and leaked propane at the site.
