MarketPlace announces date for Christmas Parade
A festival favourite will return to the streets of Hamilton this year and will once again be rounded off with fireworks.
The MarketPlace Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 1.
Families have been promised “a magical experience” of enchantment.
The MarketPlace added: “The parade will commence at 5pm, winding through the heart of Hamilton and concluding with a breathtaking fireworks display over the City that captivated audiences last year.”
Seth Stutzman, the president of the group of companies, said: “The MarketPlace Christmas Parade has become a cherished tradition, bringing together families to create lasting memories.
“We're thrilled to offer this magical experience where children can witness the wonder of the season and families can share in the joy together.”
Highlights of the event are expected to include festive floats and performers, Gombeys, appearances by “beloved” holiday characters, live entertainment and music, and a visit from Santa and his reindeer.
Mr Stutzman added: “We invite all of Bermuda to join us in celebrating the spirit of the season.
“This parade is one of the many ways we are giving back to the community that has supported us throughout the year.”
The MarketPlace said it partnered with a number of Bermudian businesses and vendors for this year's parade.
They include a link with Swan Pyrotechnics, run by Kyle Swan.
Mr Stutzman said: “We're thrilled to have Swan Pyrotechnics on board to create a spectacular fireworks performance that will light up the Hamilton sky.
“Kyle's expertise and creativity will undoubtedly make the grand finale an unforgettable experience for all attendees.”
The MarketPlace said the group reaffirmed its commitment to providing value to customers.
Mr Stutzman noted: “In these challenging times of global economic pressures, we at The MarketPlace are working tirelessly to keep prices down and offer great value.
“Despite the impacts of foreign wars, overseas strikes and shipping challenges beyond our control, we remain dedicated to helping Bermudian families have a special Christmas.
“This parade is just one way we're working to bring joy and celebration to our community.”
More detailed information about the parade route, road closures and viewing areas will be released in the coming weeks.
