Sixth road fatality of the year named
The Bermuda Police Service have identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision at Harrington Sound Road on Friday.
Damitri Edwards, 19, was seriously injured when his motorcycle and a truck collided at about 8.10am near the junction of Lolly’s Well Road and Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s.
The police said that, despite life-saving efforts, Mr Edwards was pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The BPS extended condolences to his family and friends, and said a family liaison officer was helping to support the teenager’s family.
