The Bermuda Police Service have identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision at Harrington Sound Road on Friday.

Damitri Edwards, 19, was seriously injured when his motorcycle and a truck collided at about 8.10am near the junction of Lolly’s Well Road and Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s.

The police said that, despite life-saving efforts, Mr Edwards was pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The BPS extended condolences to his family and friends, and said a family liaison officer was helping to support the teenager’s family.

An investigation continues and witnesses who have not already come forward, or anyone with knowledge of the circumstances of the crash, are encouraged to contact Pc Asaph Rawlins of the Roads Policing Unit on 717-2123, 247-1788, or via e-mail at arawlins@bps.bm.
