Regiment to host open day
Residents can learn more about the Royal Bermuda Regiment at Warwick Camp this weekend.
Major Dwight Robinson, RBR regimental career management officer, said he hoped an open day on Saturday would allow people “to have a look at what we do without any sense of obligation or pressure”.
Attendees will learn about RBR in general, tour Warwick Camp and watch and interact with soldiers.
Any residents between 18 and 52 years old can attend the free event, which will be held from 9am until about 1pm, with lunch provided.
Another open day is scheduled for November 30.
Major Robinson said soldiers should be “service-minded with a desire for personal and professional development, teamwork and community betterment”.
He added: “Interested persons should be of physical fitness, prepared to challenge themselves and to be challenged, physically and mentally, and have a mindset for continuous improvement.”
