The St David’s Primary School parent-teacher association has rallied to raise $1,000 for the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

Students, parents and supporters pitched in to fundraise through a walk-a-thon at the school last month.

Gladstone Thompson, the principal of St David’s Primary, said: “Everybody knows the great work that Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is doing and every community would have someone that has benefited or will benefit from that cause.

“They are a charity that should always be at the top of everyone’s list based on the great work that they do.”

Every student at the school was invited to participate in the walk-a-thon, which also benefited the PTA — and P6 student Russian Belle Thompson raised the top amount of $263.

Mr Thompson added: “We are thankful of our community and their support and we look forward to doing this again next year.”
