Caines family hold food drive

For a cause: the event takes place between 8am and 8pm on November 28 (Image supplied)

The community is encouraged to join the Caines family in a charitable food drive this week.

The event on November 28 in Hamilton is aimed at supporting charities and organisations that provide meals to at-risk individuals experiencing critical food shortages.

It will run from 8am to 8pm at the Seventh-day Adventist Youth Centre at 43 King Street, which will serve as the drop-off point for much needed donations, the family said.

Donations can be made of canned goods, fresh vegetables, dry foods and other non-perishable items.

The family are also calling for volunteers to help with traffic management, sorting donations and other essential tasks.

They said in a statement: “Bermuda has always demonstrated a remarkable spirit of generosity and compassion.

“This food drive is an opportunity to once again unite and make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

“Let’s come together as one community to address this critical need and support those who rely on these vital services.

“Together, we can ensure that no one in Bermuda faces hunger alone.”
