After 13 years’ service as the centrepiece of Hamilton’s yuletide celebrations, the City’s Christmas tree has been decorated for its final season.

A spokeswoman said it remained “stunning and magical” but was getting “updated before any signs of wear become noticeable”.

The change will allow for a new design, with hopes to boost the tree’s size.

She added: “We’re thrilled to continue bringing the joy of the season to life with a vibrant and beautiful display this year and are equally excited about the upgrades to come in the future.”
