A team of volunteers from the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club helped to distribute 200 Thanksgiving meals at the Salvation Army’s North Street Citadel in Hamilton.
Tim Morrison, the general manager of the hotel, said: “As we approach a busy holiday season at the hotel, we are grateful for the time that we can gather with our community partners like the Salvation Army team and provide meals to anyone who needs it.
“We should not forget the volunteers and organisations who serve our community daily; they need our support.”
The Salvation Army’s “Booth’s Bistro — Community Meal” is the heart of the organisation’s community outreach, providing a hot and filling meal to anyone who needs it, including at the Salvation Army’s Shelter and Harbour Light facilities.
The Hamilton Princess has provided the Thanksgiving meal service for Booth’s Bistro for six years.
The corps officer of the Salvation Army, Major Darryl Simms, said: “We are thankful to Hamilton Princess & Beach Club volunteers for supporting the Salvation Army’s North Street Citadel once again.”
