SPCA to celebrate ‘incredible bond’ between people and pets
People and their pets are in line for special treats next weekend at the Botanical Gardens.
A statement from the Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said the Paws to the Park fundraiser on December 15 was the “perfect chance to celebrate your love for animals, enjoy the great outdoors and make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need”.
The public can win raffle prizes and buy goodies for themselves and their pets — and every dog will receive a special treat.
Tickets are $25 and all proceeds will benefit the SPCA and its animals.
April Augustus, the executive director of the charity, said Paws to the Park was “more than just an event, it’s a celebration of the incredible bond between humans and animals”.
She added: “We’re looking forward to seeing the community come together for a fun-filled morning that supports such an important cause.”
People and pets are encouraged to dress fancy for the fundraiser, which will take place from 9am until noon.
