Santa is expected to arrive for a magical evening of holiday cheer in the Old Towne on Saturday at an event hosted by the Corporation of St George.

The event, which will start at 6pm in King’s Square, is expected to feature a host of family-friendly activities, including fun castles, holiday toy stalls and offerings from local food vendors.

The corporation said residents can expect vibrant performances by majorettes, dancers and Gombeys as well as hosting by “Power Girl” Patrina Paynter and music by DJ Iceman.

Mayor of St George Quinell Francis said: “In a rapidly changing world, it’s comforting to have events like this that bring people together and allow us to pass on cherished traditions.

“The talent on display and the dedication of the Corporation of St George team truly capture the heart of what makes our town special.”
