Deadline for summer work programmes extended
The Department of Workforce Development has extended its deadline for students interested in taking part in its Youth Employment Programmes.
Registration for the 2025 YEP for students aged 16 to 26 will remain open until the end of this year.
A spokesman for the department said: “The Youth Employment Programmes are perfect for young Bermudians looking to gain hands-on work experience, expand their professional networks and build leadership and decision-making skills.”
Applicants for the high school summer internship programme must be Bermudian or hold Bermudian status and be between the ages of 16 and 18 as of June 30, 2024.
Meanwhile, applicants for the college or university summer internship programme must be Bermudian or hold Bermudian status, be enrolled in college or university as of December 1, 2024 and have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or its equivalent.
