The Bermuda Police Service has said the 911 emergency phone line was back up and running again after going offline on Christmas Day.
A spokesman said shortly after noon that in addition to 911, the non-emergency phone number, 211, and the main police phone number, 295-0011, were out of order.
However, as of 3.30pm, the spokesman confirmed that the phone lines were back up and operational.
“We thank our community for their patience while restoration work was carried out,” the spokesman added.
No reason for the outage was given.
