Members of the public were invited to attend an information session about working in Bermuda’s uniformed services.

The event will take place at Victor Scott Primary School on February 4 from 6pm to 8pm.

Bermuda’s five uniformed services are the Bermuda Police Service, the Royal Bermuda Regiment, the Department of Corrections, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service and the Customs Department.

Representatives from each service will be in attendance at the session.

Attendees will be given detailed insights into the roles of each service, the application process and the meaningful impact the careers have on the community.

A government spokesman said: “Our uniformed services play an essential role in protecting and serving our community.

“This information session is an excellent opportunity for Bermudians to learn more about these careers, ask questions and gain a better understanding of how they can contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our island.

“If you've ever considered a career in the uniformed services, now is the time to act.

“Step up, take the challenge and explore the incredible opportunities that await you.

“Those interested are encouraged to attend this session whether you are actively exploring a career in the uniformed services, a young person or simply want to learn more about the essential work they do.

“Don't miss this opportunity to take the first step towards an exciting and rewarding career. Our team looks forward to seeing you there."
