BUEI whale watching tours return next month

The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute will set out for the seas again next month to host a series of whale-watching tours.

The full-day tours are to start on March 15, with trips venturing out every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of April.

A BUEI spokeswoman said: “Guests aged 12 and older will be treated to a thrilling adventure aboard the Explorer with Captain Mike Hayward and crew.

“Witness first-hand the glorious wonders of the ocean’s majestic giants as their spring migratory route brings them back to local waters.

“BUEI’s whale-watching experience includes an all-day trip in search of these beautiful mammals.

“The tour allows guests to relax and appreciate the scenic beauty of Bermuda’s ocean whilst keeping an eye out for playful pods or splashes from gigantic tails.”

The tours run from 9am until 4.30pm with tickets costing $85 for BUEI members and $100 for non-members.

To purchase tickets, call 294-0204 or e-mail giftshop@buei.bm.
