A charity representing the LGBTQ+ community is to host an event aimed at fostering conversation and connection.

OutBermuda’s Teatime at Treehouse will feature warm drinks, sweet treats and board games along with the chance to meet staff at the organisation and discuss its policy manifesto.

The platform covers a series of legal, educational and healthcare reforms aimed at creating a safer and more equitable Bermuda for LGBTQ+ people.

Joshua Samuels, the executive director of OutBermuda, said: “OutBermuda’s core mission is to improve the safety and wellbeing of our local LGBTQ+ community.

“In order to do that effectively, we need to hear directly from the people we serve.

“This gathering is an opportunity for community members to engage with us, ask questions, and learn how they can get involved in creating meaningful change.”

OutBermuda will officially announce the theme for Bermuda Pride 2025 during the tea. Attendees will hear about ways to participate in Pride and contribute to its success.

All LGBTQ+ individuals and allies are invited to attend. The event takes place on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm at Treehouse, 12 Trott Lane, Hamilton.
