Harvard University students will showcase their singing talents next week at a free concert, continuing a spring break tradition.

The Harvard Krokodiloes and the Radcliffe Pitches, Harvard’s oldest a cappella groups, will perform at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Tuesday at 12.30pm, with the support of the US Consulate.

Vanja Vukota, the Acting US Consul-General, thanked the Right Reverend Nicholas Dill, Bishop of Bermuda, and Canon Jerry Smith for making the cathedral available for the public to come and enjoy the performance.

“I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy live entertainment over their lunch hour,” he said.

A spokeswoman for the consulate added that the visit is intended to reinforce the educational ties that link Bermuda and the United States.

“The consulate continues to promote higher education opportunities in the United States through its ‘Study with US’ campaign, which spotlights Bermudian students currently studying at US colleges and universities, as well as Bermudian alumni of US institutions,” she said.

The Kroks and Pitches, who have performed in the US, Norway, Denmark, Germany and France, have brought their talents to Bermuda before as part of their annual spring break tour.

The performance comes in advance of Bermuda’s hosting of Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals, who are set to bring their most recent show, 101 Damnations, to the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium on March 21.
