A Bermudian marketing expert has been inducted into a programme that educates and connects talented young professionals in the tourism industry.

Kiira Grant, with the Bermuda Tourism Authority, has cemented her place in Destinations International’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2025 programme.

The 25-year-old tourism standards and training specialist said that she felt “incredibly honoured” to be recognised by the prestigious group so early in her career.

She added: “This achievement is a testament to the steadfast support and encouragement I’ve received from the leadership at the BTA.”

Destinations International is the world’s largest and most prestigious organisation in the tourism industry.

It has more than 8,000 members from tourism boards and travel organisations.

The 30 Under 30 programme selects 30 young professionals aged under 30 years to connect and gain valuable skills in the industry over the course of a year.

This year’s class was selected from a pool of 91 applications and represent talent from across four countries.

Ms Grant has become the third BTA staff member to be inducted into the 30 Under 30 programme.

She said: “As a young professional, I hope my journey inspires other young professionals by showing that remarkable milestones in this field are within reach.

“I am committed to using my knowledge and experiences to advocate for others and support their career growth.

“I am especially excited to connect with my peers in the 2025 class, gain valuable industry insights and fully embrace the professional development opportunities this recognition offers throughout the year.”

Tracy Berkeley, the chief executive of the BTA, said that Ms Grant’s success highlighted the importance of investing in young talent.

She added: “Our Tourism Standards and Training team, led by dedicated professionals, is shaping the future of Bermuda’s tourism industry by nurturing young talent and fostering growth.

“The future of Bermuda’s team is bright and with emerging leaders like Kiira, backed by a committed and talented team, I know we’re in very good hands.”

A BTA spokeswoman said that Ms Grant’s recognition “highlights the outstanding talent within the BTA and reaffirms the team’s dedication to excellence in Bermuda’s tourism industry”.
