Island Trading donates workwear to Pals thrift shop
Island Trading Ltd is proud to support the community with a donation of over $8,000-worth of RedKap workwear clothing — including work shirts, work pants and work shorts — to Pals thrift shop.
This contribution will help fund Pals’s mission of providing quality, in-home care and assistance to cancer patients and their families, enhancing their quality of life during challenging times.
RedKap, a trusted brand similar to Dickies, is known for its durable and high-quality workwear, making these items a valuable addition to Pals thrift shop.
Proceeds from the shop directly support Pals, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, helping to ensure patients receive compassionate care in the comfort of their homes.
“At Island Trading Limited, we believe in giving back to our community in meaningful ways,” said Leslie Swan, sales and floor manager.
“Pals has provided incredible support to families across our island, including many of our very own family members at Island Trading.
“We are honoured to contribute to their efforts by donating these essential workwear items, which will help raise funds for those in need.”
Adding to the significance of this donation, Laura Farge-Lowe, managing director of Island Trading shared: “Work clothing like this holds a special place in our company’s history.
“Over 40 years ago, my mum began selling these very items out of the back of her car when Island Trading first started.
“To be able to give back to the community with these same products today is truly a full-circle moment for us.”
Pals. is dedicated to providing cancer patients with quality care primarily in a home setting, offering vital support to both patients and their families.
Donations like this help sustain their mission and ensure continued care for those facing cancer.
