Police: missing man found safe
A man who was the subject of a heightened search after he was reported missing has been found safe and well, police said yesterday.
Michael Miranda’s family made a public appeal on Thursday for residents to help locate the 57-year-old.
He had last been seen at about midday on March 28 near the Salvation Army facility on North Street, Pembroke.
The Bermuda Police Service reported on Friday morning that Mr Miranda was “located, safe and well”.
“We would like to thank the public for all the calls and other efforts, which assisted in Mr Miranda’s safe return,” a statement added.
The BPS and members of Mr Miranda’s family earlier invited residents to join them on Friday, when they had planned to search for him again.
Mr Miranda also went missing on March 26 and was found by police two days later. His whereabouts then become almost immediately unknown.
His family said they did not report him missing the second time until April 4.
