Families thronged the Botanical Gardens this weekend to enjoy the 84th Agricultural Exhibition.
In addition to the wide variety of animals, crafts and baked products featured every year at the event, attendees were able to watch a spectrum of performances from local and international talent.
The first Agricultural Exhibition was held in 1843 at Mount Langton in Pembroke as part of an effort by the Governor, William Reid, to encourage interest in agriculture on the island.
It moved to the Botanical Gardens for the first time in 1922.

While the event has become a springtime tradition, the “Ag Show” was held biannually up until 1955.
