The sharp spike in Covid-19 cases on island has forced the Bermuda Netball Association into cancelling its winter season.
“We have tried tirelessly to obtain approval from the Bermuda Government to return to play, but the safety of our players is paramount,” BNA president Kimale Evans said in a statement. “The recent spike in positive Covid-19 cases on island will likely delay our continued efforts to return to sport.
“Therefore, it wouldn’t be fair to keep our members in limbo any longer. We hope that next season will show more promise. Until then, stay safe.”
