North Village and Phoenix Fire share the spoils in thrilling draw
North Village Lady Rams and Phoenix Fire produced one of the most exciting matches of the season during Under-17 League action at CedarBridge Academy on Thursday night.
The two sides battled to a thrilling 33-33 draw in a see-saw contest featuring several lead changes, brilliant shooting and defending, as neither were able to seize complete control.
Kammie Mills poured in a game high 26 goals for Phoenix while Hailey Trott chipped in with four and Sydney Santos three.
Arianna Sabir and J'Zari Zuill-Dillas accounted for all of North Village’s goals, scoring 18 and 15 respectively.
In stark contrast, Storm had a much easier outing on court in their contest with Dandy Stars, which they led from start to finish on the way to a resounding 45-21 win.
Anisa Seon led the charge for Storm with 31 goals while Jaelyn Rewan-Lambert and Jamir Hatherley added five apiece and Rihanna Reddicks four.
Sioma Rudo was Dandy Stars’s top scorer with ten goals while Tejah Bean chipped in with seven, Nahjae Rayner three and Moriah Bridgewater one.
