Bermuda’s national volleyball teams finished with a combined five wins as they found the going tough at the 2023 US Open Volleyball Championships in Dallas, Texas.

The women’s team, coached by Gary LeBlanc, fought hard against some strong teams before finishing 24th of 28 in their division with a record of two wins and seven losses.

Under the mentorship of Beth Rae, the men’s team, who played as Ace Boyz, fared better. They finished fiftheenth of the 33 sides in their section, recording three wins over Atomic BB, MHVBC and Bang Out Volleyball.

Both teams were shifted up a division in the three-day tournament held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Centre. It came as no surprise that they struggled considering that they squared off against more challenging opponents.
