JahKenya Trott stars as Lindo’s Tigers thump St George’s
JahKenya Trott led the way with 21 goals for Lindo’s Tigers as they recorded a 27-12 triumph over St George’s in the Netball Summer League on Tuesday.
The Tigers MVP received support from her sister Jahtuere, who scored six goals as the side recovered from a 22-14 loss to Dandy Stars a week earlier.
Jordyn Ming was the best attacker for the Tigers and the most outstanding defender was Courtney Anderson.
Nicky Smith, with nine goals to her name, was the top scorer for St George’s, with their other three scored by MVP Hailey Smith. Best attacker for St George’s went the way of Kiarrah Rogers and top defender was Jasmaine Adams.
The defeat was a setback for St George’s, who defeated PHC 22-10 a week prior to their loss to the Tigers.
BHB Angels defeated Dandy Stars 22-12 after a 12-12 draw with Stars Netball a week earlier.
MVP Charlene Bogle-Gomez was the top goalscorer for BHB with 15 goals, while best attacker Demiqua Daniels scored five and Stacey O'Brien and Stacy-Ann Brown contributed a goal each. Tina Wall was best defender for the Angels.
Moriah Bridgewater was the leading goal scorer for Dandy Stars with six, Marissa Brangman was close behind with four and Connica Boyles netted two. Nia Dailey was named their MVP and the best defender for her team while Chiajae Rudo was chosen as the attacker.
PHC recorded an 18-13 victory over Stars. Attacker Amali Smith had nine goals, Inshan-nae Smith scored six and Tyra Simmons had three.
For Stars, MVP Makeda Goater scored seven goals, Sydney Santos four and Eshe Grant’s goal contribution was two. Stacia Ming was the most outstanding defender for the losing team.
In mixed teams results, Storm Chasers won by default over PwC.
