While they can no longer secure a podium finish, it is not the end of the road for LeBlanc and Calhoun who will now play seeding matches to determine their final position in the competition, starting with an eleventh place play-off against Jamaican pair Chauna Jasmine Kelly and Petal Smith tomorrow.

LeBlanc and Calhoun started their campaign with a 2-0 loss against the Dominican Republic pair of Julibeth Payano and Bethania Almanzar as they lost both sets 21-4 on Wednesday.

Bermuda got a reprieve on Thursday when they won their game to 2-0 against Surinam after their opponents failed to fulfil the fixture, resulting in LeBlanc and Calhoun finishing third in the group stage to progress to the round of 16.
