Saltus victorious in Middle School boys volleyball tournament
Saltus Grammar School triumphed over Somersfield Academy in straight sets to claim victory in the Bermuda School Sports Federation Middle School Boys Volleyball Tournament yesterday at the Mount Saint Agnes Academy Gym.
Saltus overcame a five-point deficit to edge the first set 27-25 and carried the momentum into the second set, winning 25-20 to cap off an unbeaten tournament run.
The champions faced a tough challenge in the semi-finals, narrowly defeating Warwick Academy Blue 25-23 after trailing for much of the match. Somersfield secured their spot in the final with a more comfortable 25-18 win over Warwick Academy White in the other semi-final.
