ZBM angers golf fans
Bermuda’s golf fans were left fuming last night as ZBM-TV switched programmes just –seconds before the PGA Tour’s Heritage Classic reached a dramatic conclusion.Englishman Luke Donald –addressed a ten-foot putt on the first hole of a play-off against American Brandt Snedeker as he attempted to become number one in the world’s golf rankings. But viewers were left in the dark as the TV station stopped coverage and began showing an Easter church service. He and Snedeker both birdied the hole and the American went onto win on the third hole of the play-off.However, viewers not only missed the first play-off hole but also the next two where the American clinched the win.Nobody could be reached at the ZBM studios last night for comment.International golf round-up, see Page 19.
