Michael Sims added another $1200 to his season’s earnings on the eGolf Tour on Saturday when he finished in a tie for 20th at the 54-hole Championship at Star Fort in South Carolina.The veteran pro, playing on the third tier circuit after losing his Nationwide Tour card last year, posted a seven-under-par total of 209 to finish 10 shots behind South African winner Anton Haig.Sims was in danger of missing the cut after an even-par 72 in the first round but bounced back with a four-under 68 on Friday, followed by a three-under 69 in the final round on Saturday.He currently sits in seventh place on the tour’s money list with $54,838 after having played in 19 tournaments this year.Some 200 players have competed on the eGolf Tour this year.This week’s event is the Cabarrus Classic in Concord, North Carolina.
