Golfers competing in this week’s Gosling’s Invitational at Belmont Hills have been given an added incentive.A hole-in-one at the downhill par-three 17th will be rewarded with two tickets to watch the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic at Palm Springs Gardens in FloridaPlayed at the PGA National course, the tournament won earlier this year by Rory McIlroy features the Dark ‘n Stormy Bear Trap where spectators can watch the event.In addition, a hole-in-one winner would also get chance to play in the Dark ‘n Stormy Invitational at the same course.Another new feature of this year’s Belmont tournament, which gets underway this morning, is a raffle in honour of Eardley Jones, who died recently at the age of 73.Jones had been employed at Belmont Hills, as well as at other courses, but was better known for his work with the Island’s junior golfers.American Joe Horowitz will defend his title this week but will face some stiff competition from the likes of previous winners PJ Horgan, Tim Conley, Kirk Hanefeld and Bermuda’s Dwayne Pearman.Also expected to challenge is the big-hitting Daniel Augustus.
