Sims cards even par 72

It was a case of De-Ja-Vu for Bermuda's Michael Sims at the $650,000 Chile Classic today.The local pro carded an even par 72 for the second straight day during the penultimate round of the Web.com Tour event that left him with a three-day total of five-under-par 211 with 18 holes left to play at the Prince of Wales Country Club.Sims mastered the course's par fives, making eagle at the 563-yard ninth hole and birdies at the 547-yard third hole and 506-yard 18th hole at the 6711-yard Santiago layout.His round also included a double bogey at the 365-yard par four second hole and bogeys at the 176-yard par three fourth hole and 414-yard par four 16th hole.The past Bermuda Open winner slipped eight places down the leaderboard to remain in a four-way tie for 56th heading into tomorrow's final round of the 72-hole event.Sims is 12 shots off the lead which is jointly held by USA's Kevin Kisner and Edward Loar and Chile's Benjamin Alvarado who each boast a three-day total of 17 -under- par 199.Kisner fired the lowest round of the tournament today after entering the clubhouse with a sizzling 11-under-par 61 that catapulted him thick in the hunt for the $108,000 winner's purse.Sims has not come in under par since he carded a five-under-par 67 during the opening round of the tournament which remains wide open heading into tomorrow's finale.
