After an indifferent start to the season on the Web-Com Tour, Bermudian pro Michael Sims put himself on course to make the cut at the Stadion Classic at UGA tournament.In a field of over 150, Sims finished the first day in a tie for 37th.Starting on the 10th hole, he got off to a flying start at the par-71 Univeristy of Georgia GC in Athens, Georgia, posting birdies on the par-three 13th and par-five 17th to make the turn at two-under.However, he bogeyed the second and eighth holes to end his round at even par in an event which offers the winner $99,000 in a purse of $600,000.The first round lead was shared by Brendon Todd, Rafael Echenique and Whee Kim who posted five-under 66s.
