Sam Wehmeyer won the 2013 HSBC Junior National Par 3 Championships at Turtle Hills Golf Club at the weekend.Wehmeyer defeated tournament favourite Mitchell Campbell on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff.Both players halved the first playoff hole before Campbell made bogey on the second to hand the title to his rival.Wehmeyer and Campbell were forced to play extra holes after finishing the two-day tournament at five -over-par 113.Campbell’s two over par 56 was the lowest score of the second round.Brady Cordeiro won the 13-15 division and was third overall with a two-day total of five-over-par 115. Cordeiro shot a four over par 58 in the second round. Dakota Lamb, who made a hole in one at the 11th hole, was runner up in the 13-15 division.Joe Watson (138) won the 12 and under division while the girls’ title went to Elizabeth Parsons (124).
